Ray Huff

Senior Additive Manufacturing Project Engineer

Ray Huff is a Senior Additive Manufacturing Project Engineer at ASTM International with over a decade of experience in process optimization, mechanical design, and advanced manufacturing. Ray’s expertise in the 3D printing sector is comprehensive, ranging from the hands-on development of open-source 3D printers and bioprinting research to serving as an industry analyst and author for the Wohlers Report. A proven leader, he has managed prototyping labs and trained military and engineering personnel in design for manufacturability.

Ray holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a B.A. in Applied Linguistics from UCLA; he is currently further sharpening his strategic leadership skills through a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Management at Harvard University Extension School, with an expected completion in 2027.
