Louis Fredricks

Manager, European Affairs and Business Development

Louis Fredricks is the Manager, European Affairs and Business Development for ASTM International. In his role, he supports efforts to promote the global relevance and importance of ASTM standards and services, analyzing European Union (EU) regulatory and policy issues and providing strategic insights on the European market. He also supports the AM CoE’s efforts in Europe by engaging with stakeholders, fostering business development opportunities, and driving strategic initiatives to strengthen ASTM’s leadership in additive manufacturing (AM) standards, research, advisory services, certification and training.

Prior to joining ASTM, Louis worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce at the U.S. Mission to the EU as a subject-matter expert on EU product regulations, conformity assessment, and standardization policy. Originally from Grand Haven, Michigan, Louis holds a Master of Arts in European Studies from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, a Graduate Certificate in International Relations from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Political Science from Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. He speaks his native English as well as Spanish and French.
