About the Course
The construction industry is progressively embracing additive manufacturing from making small parts to large structures. As this technology advances, it promises to become an increasingly viable supplement to traditional construction methods. The term additive construction (AC) has been coined to describe technologies that build large-scale structures layer by layer. Applications of AC cover all construction sectors and expand to large-scale real estate projects, elements of buildings, entire structures, civil infrastructure, and disaster relief. AC also encompasses relevant areas of architecture, engineering, robotics, and project and facility management.
A proficient workforce equipped with a deep understanding of this technology is essential for its widespread adoption. Comprehensive knowledge is necessary to effectively communicate the nuances of additive construction. Our one-day virtual training program is meticulously designed to impart a comprehensive understanding of the current state-of-the-art in additive construction, equipping participants with the requisite knowledge to explore this dynamic realm of construction. Take the first step towards mastering additive construction by joining our program today.

Meet the instructor:
Stephan Mansour is an additive construction specialist at Wohlers Associates powered by ASTM International. Mansour has a specialty in construction digitization and is supporting the adoption of innovative technology. He focuses on additive manufacturing in construction, which enabled the realization and completion of a partially 3D-printed house in Saudi Arabia in 2018 for the Saudi Ministry of Housing. He advises global corporations and entrepreneurial establishments to successfully implement the means necessary to transform business operations and disruption in construction. He is currently leading construction standards initiatives with JG80 under ISO/ASTM as vice chair of ASTM’s F42.07.07 sub-section.
