Biographies

Aaron McCandless

Senior Project Engineer

Aaron McCandless is a Senior Project Engineer for ASTM International. His previous skills include the development and implementation of thermal-mechanical simulations, in-situ process monitoring, and prototyping with various AM processes. Aaron received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), and currently working on his Master’s degree in AM and Design from Penn State. Prior to joining ASTM, he served as an AM R&D Engineer, and an Interdisciplinary Engineer at Penn State’s Applied Research Lab, and NAVAIR, respectively. In these roles, he combined technical expertise with project management skills to drive innovative solutions to complex challenges.
