About the Webinar:
This webinar aims to provide an overview on multi-material processing by means of laser-based powder bed fusion of metals. Relevant in-process technologies to produce metal multi-material parts are introduced. Moreover, core challenges regarding pre-processing and post-processing of metal multi-material parts are described. Furthermore, realized case studies are presented which specifically illustrate the potential of metal multi-material AM. The outline of the course will include:
- Short introduction of state of the art in multi-material processing at Fraunhofer IGCV
- Fundamentals of multi-material processing by means of laser-based powder bed fusion of metals
- Challenges along the process chain
- Pre-process
- In-process
- Post-process
- Case Studies
- Summary and outlook
Learning Outcomes:
After completing this webinar the attendees will achieve the following
- Understanding of potentials and challenges of multi-material processing by means of powder bed AM processes
- Overview on pre-processing and post-processing
- Knowledge about specific case studies
