Presentations Invited for 2023 ASTM International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM 2023)

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Dec. 12, 2022 – Presentations are invited for the 2023 ASTM International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM 2023), to be held Oct. 30 – Nov. 3, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency – Capitol Hill (Washington, D.C., USA). The conference is hosted by the ASTM International Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE) and supported by more than a dozen ASTM technical committees.

ICAM 2023 is ASTM’s eighth annual flagship event related to standardization, qualification, and certification with a focus on industry-specific requirements addressing the entire advanced manufacturing processes and value chains.

The conference will consist of 26 symposia covering major topics and key areas in additive and advanced manufacturing. ICAM is organized by more than 100 scientific committee members, all advanced manufacturing experts from industry, academia, government and regulatory agencies, national labs, and more.

Authors are invited to submit their abstract, outlining the scope of their presentation (in less than 250 words) to one of the 26 different conference topics. These topics include but are not limited to:

  • Feedstock materials;
  • Fatigue and fracture;
  • Mechanical testing;
  • NDE;
  • Defense;
  • Aviation;
  • Space;
  • Construction;
  • Industry 4.0;
  • Modeling, simulations, and digital twins;
  • Robotics; and more.

A full list of conference topics can be found on the ICAM 2023 website. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present in Washington, D.C.

Building upon the success of the previous events, and new breadth of topics covered, ICAM 2023 will involve more ASTM committees and external stakeholders, expanding its overall topic from additive manufacturing to advanced manufacturing. ICAM sets the stage to bring experts from around the world to exchange the latest developments in the field of advanced manufacturing with emphasis on the transition of research to application.
